  Biography
   By: Kurt Walter

Born in New York, Ike started playing music at the age of seven. By thirteen he'd begun playing music for dances and parties. After majoring in music at Brooklyn College Ike worked for Magnavox while they were developing electronic musical instruments.

Ike and I met in the military service. We both played in the Commanding General's jazz combo and 16-piece big band. Ike also performed as a keyboard soloist and was a trombone player in the marching band. Ike and I produced and wrote special musical and comedy material for several shows presented by the Army. We have been best friends ever since.

Ike moved to Florida in 1968 where he played in several nightclub show bands. Then Ike and I co-founded the well known show group 'Trilogy'. At that point he bought his first synthesizers and began developing his One-Man-Orchestra sound.

In 1976 Ike began his solo career, updating and improving his musical equipment, wiring keyboards together by hand so he could play several synthesizers from one keyboard, resulting in a full orchestral sound.

Ike would be too modest to mention the fact that he was the first in the nation to wire his keyboards together in this manner. A few years later the electronic instrument companies began to explore this idea and invented a way to do the same thing electronically. They called it "Musical Instrument Digital Interface ... That's right; MIDI.

It wasn't long before Ike got a call from Yamaha, asking him to enter the National Electone Festival. Ike was entered in the "Pro Division." He took first place in the local festival then the regional festival and finally first place in the national competition. That's right ... Number one in the nation. This led to a position on the "Yamaha Concert Artist" staff.

For the past several years Ike has been wearing multiple hats as a band leader, One-Man-Orchestra, piano teacher, concert artist, producer of complete background tracks for acts and keyboard system designer and teacher of MIDI for professional and amateur musicians in the South Florida area.

Ike's logo is "When Only The Best Will Do." I'm here to tell you if you want "Only the Best" take advantage of Ike's talent and experience. He is the top in his profession!
